Annabel Chase is the author of feel-good paranormal and fantasy books. She is a former lawyer and dual citizen of the US and UK with two incredible kids and the most adorable dog on the planet (apologies to all other dogs). She would love to live in a world of magic but is willing to settle for creating her own.
Author Q&A
What has been your greatest achievement to date? My NYC billboard was pretty cool, but mainly I’d say creating a full-time career out of my stories. 12-year-old me had no idea this life would be possible when she was folding stacks of lined paper in half and stapling ‘book’ spines together.
Are you still learning as a writer? Absolutely. Every day. I love learning as much as I love writing, so I’m always looking for new information or fresh takes.
What are you looking forward to most about Pascify? Connecting with readers and other authors. Writing is such a solitary practice and I’m fairly social, but I prefer in-person socializing to online. I’m not an avid user of social media.
What is one thing people might not know about you? I’m a dual citizen (US/UK). I was a qualified solicitor in England, as well as a lawyer in the US.
If you woke up today in your favourite place (fictional or real), where would that be? I’d like to be in my fictional magical town of Starry Hollow with my kids and our dog. I want to order spell-infused lattes and be surrounded by lovely people.
Is there a particular genre or type of non-fiction that you most enjoy reading? History books. I keep threatening my daughter that I’m going to turn up at her university and audit all the history classes. I am endlessly fascinated by what came before us.
