I live in rural West Yorkshire, England, with two ridiculously gorgeous pups, two perpetually cynical cats who very much run the household, a chicken with attitudeโฆ and a husband. When Iโm not writing, Iโm either devouring fantasy novels (the more romance, the better), laughing with friends, or rambling through the countryside with my dogs.
Author Q&A
What is it that most inspires you to keep writing? I write because stories have always been a place of refuge for me. Writing helps protect my mental health by giving me space to explore emotions safely, work through struggles, and transform pain into beauty.ย Itโs both a creative outlet and a form of self-care. Knowing that my stories might offer that same escape or comfort to someone else keeps me coming back to the page.
What is the greatest lesson any writer can learn? The greatest lesson a writer can learn is that comparison is the thief of joy. Every authorโs voice and journey are different, and uplifting other writers matters far more than competing with them. Never stop learning your craft, and donโt let negative reviews define youโnot every book is for every reader, and thatโs okay.
What is one thing people might not know about you? One thing people might not know about me is that I live with MS, which can be challenging at times, but itโs also taught me resilience and patience. A fun fact about me is that I spend my days writing gods, assassins, and morally questionable love interestsโand then immediately panic when I have to make small talk in real lifeโฆ so if Iโm awkward in person, just remember Iโm far more articulate on the page.
